Our space was intentionally designed to invoke warmth, making it ideal for both casual and celebratory gatherings.

Whether you're planning a rehearsal dinner, a milestone birthday, a corporate dinner, or a full holiday party, The Stables at Belmont offers private and semi-private spaces in the heart of Richmond's Museum District.

Spaces & Capacity

  • Two fully private rooms — seat up to 6 and 8 guests respectively

  • Semi-private main dining space — converts to seat up to 18 guests

  • Full restaurant buyout — available for larger groups; inquire for availability

Menus

For groups of 6-8 dining in a private room, guests order from our regular seasonal menu — no custom menu required. For parties of 9 or more, we build a custom, abbreviated menu around the season's ingredients, tailored to your event.

Pricing & Minimums

  • Parties of 8 or fewer: No minimum spend, deposit, or contract required.

  • Parties of 9 or more: A group dining contract applies, including a custom menu and a minimum food and beverage spend (contact us for current pricing based on your date and headcount).

Good to Know

  • Time allowance: We allow 2.5 hours for all groups of 6 or more.

  • Final headcount: Due 24 hours in advance of your event. Your spending minimum will be based on the confirmed guest count, regardless of final turnout.

  • Decorations: Welcome — with the exception that nothing can be taped, pinned, or hung on the walls.

  • Outside food: Not permitted without prior management approval.

  • A/V & presentations: The Stables does not provide or allow A/V equipment.

  • Cancellations: You may cancel your contract up to 7 days prior to your event date with no charge.

  • Parking: A small lot behind the building is accessible through the alleyway; on-street city parking is available if the lot is full.

  • How many guests can you accommodate for a private event?
